Care & treatment for cats
Specialist veterinary health care services available to cattery residents.
We are delighted to announce that our purpose-built veterinary clinic is now operational, on-site at Cleracres Cattery.
The clinic is operated in association with Bath Vets, with whom the cattery has a well-established relationship.
Veterinary consultations are available, by appointment, on Tuesday afternoons. The principal vet in attendance will be Kristine Clark (DVM, MRCVS), a fully-qualified and experienced practitioner, providing the very highest standards of veterinary care. 24-hour emergency cover is provided to the cattery outside of these hours.
Veterinary care just for cats
This facility is dedicated exclusively to the care and treatment of cats; no other animals are treated at the Cleracres clinic.
The clinic provides a one-stop opportunity to attend to your cat’s health and well-being whilst they are boarding at the cattery, offering convenience and reducing potential additional travel stress.
We can deliver a range of routine services including basic health checks, weight checks and weight management advice, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and microchipping. For more complex procedures we will always treat cats at one of Bath Vets’ other specialist treatment and surgical facilities.
You also have the reassurance of knowing that we have qualified veterinary personnel routinely available to monitor your cat’s welfare during their stay with us.
Our veterinary clinic is primarily available to resident cats. Owners are always welcome – and indeed encouraged – to be present for consultations, but we can see cats in their owners’ absence, with the vet subsequently reporting back and scheduling any procedures following a full discussion. In some circumstances we may also be able to see non-resident cats but, to comply with regulations, they must have previously boarded at the cattery.
If you would like your cat to see the vet whilst they are boarding then please contact us to discuss your requirements in advance of your cat’s stay.
